This Clément V is Mataro (50%), Grenache (39%) and Shiraz (11%). The wine has alluring aromatics of plum and juicy dark berries, carrying soft dark florals and subtle smokiness. The palate is plush and juicy, offering flavours of black cherry and red jubes, with notes of peppery spice and leather. Smoothly textured with fine-grained, slightly drying tannins, this is a medium bodied red wine that is well suited to be enjoyed with food. In its youth, we suggest decanting to best reveal the wine’s character.
