One of the great Pinot Noirs of the world, that just so happens to made from vines within the greatest Grand Cru site in the Pfalz region. Marl lime mixed with countless small limestone rocks characterises the soil in this small basin, facing south/south-east.
The vineyard produces pristine fruit that makes for powerful and complex wines. Savoury yet fruit-forward and lasts minutes with an elegance and sophistication found only in the best examples from Burgundy.
