A specialty in Schlenkerla's hometown of Bamberg is this dark, bottom-fermented Rauchbier. Its smoky flavour is achieved by exposing the malt to the intense, aromatic smoke of burning beechwood logs at the Schlenkerla-maltings. After mixing it with premium-class hops, the brew matures in 700-year-old cellars deep down in the hills of Bamberg. The result is a mellow yet robust Marzen that tastes magnificent.
