Before harvest, the grapes for the Ultimi Raggi are left to dry out and shrivel a little on the vine providing an intensity of fruit flavour. On the nose there is loads of cherry, blackberry, plum, dried mint and spice. The palate is medium-bodied with almond, dried flowers, dark chocolate and orange bitterness, fine sandy tannin, and nutty cherry flavours on a long and stony finish. It has power, but it keeps itself fresh and lively. A distinctly delicious vino!
