Eric, Sophie and Simon Ughetto of Domaine la Roubine make certified organic wines in the Southern Rhône. This wine is named after the Provençal term “Vacqueyras”, coming from the Latin “Valléa Quadreria”, which means “valley of stones. It is also the name of the AOC of the area, and the French town, full of character, is known for its 'art of living'. The 2022 vintage is a blend of 15% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, and 70% Grenache. The team at Domaine La Roubine used very little oak influence on this wine, 50% maturation in concrete vat and 50% in demi-muid (6 hl french oak barrel) for 14 months, highlighting freshness and quality of the grapes.
