From the beautiful Springviews Vineyard on the South-Western shoulder of the Porongurup Range. An area heavily dominated by large Granitic structure, forming layered lateritic soils. The vineyard was planted in 1985 and dry farmed, with the Chardonnay plot at the most elevated site. Rows are planted east-west with moderating coastal breezes cooling the afternoons. 

The hand-picked fruit is sorted and pressed to second and third fill French oak hogsheads and puncheon. Naturally fermented with some encouraged to go through natural malolactic fermentation. Bottled in December 2022.

A pure vintage with vibrant natural acidity, the release of the wine has been held back and until now. Minerality is a hallmark of the site and the 2022 has it in spades. White nectarine, apple blossom, flint and loaded with citrus. Brine, almond meal and nuts flow across the palate with plenty of soft texture amongst the fresh natural acidity.
