100% Montepulciano from one of Italy’s smallest appellations. At just 85 hectares, Villamagna hosts some five producers and two co-ops. The DOC was granted in 2011 and is characterised by limestone and clacaire soils and sits at 120 – 250 metres elevation. The wines are full and lush with intense cherry, juniper, licorice and spice notes. Full and enveloping on the palate with inviting ripe fruit character combined with well-integrated tannins - a must-try for lovers of Italian red.
