The Chardonnay sibling to the Circle of Fifths Pinot Noir, and just as exciting. Blended from all five of Giant Steps' single-vineyard sites — Tarraford, Sexton, Primavera, Applejack and Bastard Hill — this was meticulously crafted and fine-tuned over many blending sessions by winemaker Melanie Chester. Where the single-vineyard wines are the pure tones of each site, Circle of Fifths is the chord.

Wild fermented in French oak puncheons (15% new, the balance seasoned), the ferments are stirred daily to build texture, with 10% of barrels going through malolactic fermentation in 2024. The result is a Yarra Valley Chardonnay that has it all — exceptional depth and character while retaining trademark bright acidity. On the nose, yellow grapefruit, winter melon and crunchy nectarine, with crumbling chalk dust and almond paste. The palate is mid-weighted and textural, with a strong mineral drive and a high level of polish, leading into a mouthwatering finish.
