Complex and full-bodied, Su Legno Oro is a Farmhouse Ale fermented in charred American oak. Inspired by European Pilsner-styles and Biere De Garde, Su Legno wanted to blend the core of these styles with a stronger Munich malt that would stand up to the barrel-ageing process. While the resulting beer is nothing like a traditional pilsner, you can see the inspiration come through in the bitterness, malt backbone and refreshing finish. An excellent brew that defies categorisation with notes of caramelised malt, dried fruit, gentle oak, and spice. The palate is velvety, finishing long and smooth. Bold yet polished, this is a premium release designed to savour.
