Larmandier-Bernier - 1er Cru Rosé de Saignée
Larmandier-Bernier - 1er Cru Rosé de Saignée
Champagne Larmandier-Bernier 1er Cru Rosé de Saignée is a rare, biodynamic grower champagne from the Côte des Blancs region in France. Premier Cru Extra Brut Rosé that is typically around 2g/l to 3g/l dosage.
Roughly 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Gris from old vines (~45 years old) in Vertus. Made via the traditional saignée ("bleeding") method, where the juice macerates on the skins for 2 to 3 days to extract color, structure, and depth, rather than blending red wine into white wine. Naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts in tanks or concrete eggs, followed by nearly a year of lees maturation and multiple years of bottle aging before disgorgement. Aromas and flavors of wild strawberry, red currant, blood orange, rose petal, cinnamon, and subtle chalky minerality with a fine bead and vibrant acidity.
