Akin to the infamous Super Tuscans from the mainland, Cantina del Vermentino's Galana Rosso is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese with two of the island's indigenous varities Carignano (AKA Carignan) and Cagnulari added to the mix. The result is an intense and aromatic red wine with cherry, spice, vanilla and chocolate notes and a soft, persistent finish.
