A village-level Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine François Carillon, whose family has been growing grapes in the village for around 500 years. The fruit comes from several parcels around the village on clay-limestone soils, which give the wine its precision and tension. Expect lemon zest, white peach and pear on the nose, with white blossom and a chalky, mineral edge. The palate is fresh and focused, with bright acidity that carries stone fruit through to a long, saline, citrus-tinged finish.
