FRANZ KELLER - GRAUBURGUNDER

FRANZ KELLER - GRAUBURGUNDER

The Kaiserstuhl is the warmest and sunniest wine region in Germany and is characterised by volcanic soils covered with fertile high loess deposits. These are excellent wine-growing conditions for 'Burgundersorts' or Burgundian grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and other French varieties such as Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris).

Franz Keller has really beautifully situated vineyards within this region and only the best, carefully selected grapes from the best vineyards and parcels are used in their wines. Each has unique character, potential and finesse thanks to these impeccable grand crus and are must-tries for lovers of German wine!

Their Grauburgunder (AKA Pinot Gris) is fresh and lively with pear, pineapple and spice notes accentuated by a soft and supple texture.
