La Trappe Quadrupel is an authentic, high-strength Trappist ale brewed by the monks of the Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven at the Koningshoeven Abbey in Berkel-Enschot, Netherlands. Belgian Dark Strong Ale / Quadrupel (La Trappe coined the term when they introduced it in 1991).

Rich and malty with sweet notes of caramel, dates, figs, and plums, balanced by a gentle spice and a smooth, mildly bitter finish.
