The Ellis family have been running their sheep farm and stewarding these vineyards in Derwent Valley, Tasmania since 1976. Nowadays, their daughter Mardi Ellis will be its custodian for future generations. This Chardonnay comes from vines planted in 1987, hand-harvested, with minimal intervention handling and winemaking, letting the fruit shine and speak for itself. This Chardonnay has wonderful acidity, with notes of white flowers, grapefruit, flint, white ripe nectarines and peaches.
