Fruit sourced from Kaesler in Gumeracha. An outstanding year for Hills Pinot across the board with depth, colour and silky tannins. Hand picked fruit fermented dry on skins with limited pump overs, pressed and settled in stainless. Gently racked to 4 yo ex white barrels to give a touch of refined oak without the tight wood astringency.

Dark cherry, some spice from the cool site, deeply fleshy, aniseed cherry fruit weight, sweet and sour finsing touch. Confit duck please, lots of duck fat potatoes, rich running cheese.
