Pronounced red to black currant and mulberry scents escape from the glass followed by some vanillin cedar, light tobacco, graphite  and a whiff of bay leaf. The palate continues the trend of recent vintages moving away from the black fruit zone of the flavour spectrum and more towards the red side. Mid weighted red currant and mulberry fruits carry ample richness and power yet are far from heavy. Vanillin cedar, tobacco, subtle earthy graphite characters and infusions of bay leaf lie underneath. Finishes with plenty of freshness, polished yet structural tannins and a long, elegant aftertaste.
