Schlenkerla Helles Märzen (also known as Aecht Schlenkerla Kräusen) is a lighter, amber-colored, unfiltered smoked lager produced by the historic Schlenkerla (Heller-Bräu Trum) brewery in Bamberg, Germany. Unlike the standard Schlenkerla Helles (which uses completely unsmoked malt but picks up a tiny ambient smokiness from the brewery's equipment), the Helles Märzen Special Edition is brewed using a lighter-touch smoked malt produced directly in Schlenkerla's own malthouse.
