A modern red from Galicia's Valdeorras DO, built on native Mencía with a supporting portion of old-vine Garnacha, grown on the slate and river-stone slopes of the Sil and Bibei valleys. An explosion of forest berries and blueberry on the nose, with mineral, slightly savoury undertones typical of the region's schist soils. Medium-bodied, glossy and well-structured, best served with a light chill.
