The name comes from the total lunar eclipse that followed the end of harvest at Cullen in 2022. The fruit is hand harvested, wild fermented with no additions or fining, and spends eight months in old oak. Cullen describes it as all about fruit and purity: easy to drink young, but able to age under screwcap for 15 years or more. It comes from 2024, the hottest, driest and earliest vintage on record, which gave wines of real depth and concentration.
