This Pinot Noir comes from Hoddles Creek's Top Paddock Vineyard, which is West facing and sloping to the South allowing for a slower ripening thanks to the cooler conditions. It is only released in the vintages when Franco D'Anna deems the quality is outstanding and is one of the benchmark wines in the Yarra Valley.

Very deep and youthful red-purple, bold and concentrated for a Yarra pinot noir. The aromas are reticient and shy, needing time to build the bouquet, but the raw materials are there. There is richness, fleshy extract and concentration aplenty, the tannins ample and fine-grained, powdery and contributing much by way of texture and structure.
